The Burst of Life event in Lordrush is one of the best early rewards a new Governor can grab, and it is easy to leave value on the table if you do not plan for it. It runs early on, for a limited time, and it pays you for something you were going to do anyway: grow your power. This guide covers what it is, what the skin is worth, and how to push your Total Power far enough to claim the top reward.

What Burst of Life is
Burst of Life is a limited growth event for new players in the early game. Its whole theme is a fresh beginning: grow your power quickly, and the game rewards you along the way. It runs for about a week (7 days) and then it is gone, so the window matters.
The event does not ask you to fight anyone or spend money. It simply tracks one number: your Total Power.
The reward: the Burst of Life skin
The headline prize is a limited Burst of Life Town Center skin, handed to you for clearing the top milestone. Beyond looking the part, the skin carries a real bonus: +5% resource gathering speed, so every gathering march you send out fills up faster.
Best of all, it is permanent. A flat +5% gathering that never expires is a small edge that compounds over months of play, which is why the event is worth planning around rather than half-clearing.
How it works: Total Power milestones
The event lists a series of Total Power targets, from 50,000 all the way up to 4,000,000. Each time your Total Power crosses the next target you claim that tier's reward, and clearing the top target at 4,000,000 earns the permanent skin. You can track your progress on the event panel in game.
Everything that raises your power counts toward these targets:
- Upgrading buildings
- Finishing Academy research
- Training and promoting troops
- Leveling and gearing your heroes
So the real question is not "how do I do the event." It is "how do I grow power fast, on purpose, inside the 7 days."
Every milestone and what it pays
Burst of Life has nine Total Power milestones. Each one lists its reward value in gems, so you can see at a glance what you are working toward. The full ladder is worth roughly 91,000 gems, and the top milestone at 4,000,000 power is the one that hands over the permanent skin.
| Total Power | Value (gems) | Notable rewards |
|---|---|---|
| 50,000 | 300 | Gems, wood, stone, iron |
| 300,000 | 700 | Gems and resources |
| 500,000 | 1,800 | Gems, speedups, resources |
| 1,000,000 | 3,100 | Gems, speedups, resources |
| 1,500,000 | 4,400 | Gems, speedups, resources |
| 2,000,000 | 6,700 | Plus the "Go!" chat and map emote |
| 2,500,000 | 7,500 | Gems, speedups, resources |
| 3,000,000 | 12,500 | Gems, speedups, resources |
| 4,000,000 | 54,000 | The permanent Burst of Life skin (+5% gathering) |
Every tier also pays gems and resources on the way up, so you earn value long before you reach the skin. Even if you cannot push all the way to 4,000,000 power, the lower milestones are free rewards you should never leave unclaimed.
How to grow power fast during the event
This is where most new players lose value. The trick is to line up your big power jumps so they land during the event, not before it and not after.
- Bank first, then spend. In the days before Burst of Life opens, hold your speedups, resources, and any troop or research materials. When it starts, pour them in so every completion pushes you past a milestone.
- Train troops. Training is often the fastest power per resource, and a full queue can move your Total Power quickly. Plan batches with the troop calculator.
- Push research and buildings. Big Academy research tiers and building upgrades each give large power jumps. Time the long ones to finish inside the window.
- Invest in a hero. Levels, gear, and stars all add power. Pick a hero you actually field first, from the hero database.
- Fund it all with resources. The more resources you have on hand, the more you can upgrade during the event. The Decree resource routine is the cheapest way to keep your stockpile full.
Common mistakes
- Sleeping on it. The event is limited and the window is short. A half-cleared Burst of Life is a permanent skin left on the table.
- Spending power too early. Dumping all your speedups the week before means the milestones are harder to reach with nothing left to burn.
- Chasing power you will not use. Training troops purely for the event is fine, but build toward the troop type and heroes you actually play, so the power keeps working after the event ends.

The short version
Burst of Life pays you to do what you were already doing: grow. Hold your resources and speedups until it opens, spend them on training, research, and upgrades across the 7 days, and walk away with a permanent Town Center skin and its +5% gathering. Do not let the window close on it.
